Shirt 13

Any ID10T can learn discipline. Inspired by an interview of Dan Pena on Youtube, I remixed it with some coder formatting discipline, a pet peeve for some coders who have to look at the garba…code from other coders. It was also quite telling that to get shit done being super smart is not the most important skill to have: to get shit done you need discipline and self respect.

Shirt 6 and 7

AAAAAAAAAARGH, I am soooooooOOoooo busted!

Ok well, here are two more shirts, I guess I’ll have to get going and make MOAR shirts!

So shirt 6: Quality GEEK CYBER.

Because there is a contest on spreadshirt.com and I had this thing laying around, might as well use it! \o/

Shirt 7: Partner Geek grounded.

Then there is another one, same contest, but well, I wanted something with a chip, and I wanted something grounded with some electronics… so I thought about a pulldown circuit, on a chip, with it pulling a partner to the geek… yes well, it might not exactly work THAT way. But hey, I liked the idea so I put it on a shirt!

Both shirts are still in review, so lets cross fingers I didn’t make any “nono’s” when it comes to the designs being printable. As soon as they’re out of review I’ll put the links to the shop online.

PS: sorry for the long wait, I’ll try to make moar shirts moar often. Maybe even a newsletter so as to keep people updated.

P.P.S.: Dad, stop looking at my funneh grammar.

Shirt 0005: Cathood LE Miau

Shirt 0005: The fifth shirt

Shirt design 0005
Cathood LE miau

Ain’t it a beauteh?! Ok, no of course not, this is the fifth shirt, I’ll get better as I make more.

Backstory:

A while back I designed a VR game where you played a cat and had to use your head to play, stretching and nodding and rubbing your head in game to communicate. There also was a level where you had to rescue kittens who had climbed all over the room.

Tools used:

It was made using Inkscape

With illustrations and parts from openclipart.

And theeeeen?

Next shirt to design, and keep up the good work.

For fun and profit!

Shirt 004: Science workflow

Without further ado: The fourth shirt:

Ain’t it a beauteh?! Ok, no of course not, this is fourth shirt, I’ll get better as I make more.

Backstory:

I was watching a show on youtube about science.

And wanted to make a small flowchart to explain science, and why I make a difference between science and “soft science”.  As in the amount of predictability is correlating directly to what is, in my eyes, “Science Truth”. And if it can’t make a prediction, then it’s not Science.

Tools used:

It was made using Libre Office Impress.

And theeeeen?

Next shirt, figuring out how to run adds on facebook… maybe make a facebook page so people can give me feedback or suggestions… I might even open a Discort channel, that seems to be the new fangled thing the hipsters do these days.

For fun and profit!

Shirt 0003: Time flies!

Hah! SIKES! Third shirt.

Time flies!
Time flies!

If you want it you can buy it here.

And I have to fight wordpress to get a nice preview, avast ye!

I started my adventure a month later than I planned because of global warming… Yes I blame global warming. Blaming the weather is a time honored tradition I’ll have you know!

Without further ado: The third shirt:

Ain’t it a beauteh?! Ok, no of course not, this is third shirt, I’ll get better as I make more.

Backstory:

“Time flies when you’re having fun.” and “Timelord” somehow made a connection in my brain. Now of course flies would need a time machine appropriate to their shitty behavior.

The end goal is a shirt was to see if I could do some image manipulation in GIMP and still have it come out ok.

Tools used:

It was made using GIMP.  With images from open stock photo websites.

And theeeeen?

Next shirt, figuring out how to run adds on facebook… maybe make a facebook page so people can give me feedback or suggestions… I might even open a Discort channel, that seems to be the new fangled thing the hipsters do these days.

For fun and profit!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAND WEEEEEEEEE’RE LIVE

There, now it has started, all the kinks have been worked out, my schedules have been made, I can go make me some shirts!

And if you go to the shop, my appologies for the SPOILERS. The review time for spreadshirt.nl isn’t always the same, so I will try to upload designs a week in advance, and, well, SURPRISE SHIRT!

Next: mark ah ting ting!

Shirt 0002: A robot is driving you!

Second..eeeh day, second shirt.

If you want it you can buy it here.

Ok, so lets be honest I prepared a buffer of shirts, and had planned to release them daily, then wordpress didn’t automatically publish them, aaand we had the warmest weather since 1976, so I turned into a puddle.

However if you want the nitty-gritty details about what a shirt actually stands for, this is the place to be.

Without further ado: The second shirt:

Alien robot
You’re being driven by an alien robot.

Ain’t it a beauteh?! Ok, no of course not, this is the second shirt, I’ll get better as I make more.

Backstory:

I am trying to make it look like a robot harness with the cockpit on the chest. I’ll be refining this series as much as possible.

The end goal is a shirt that is fully print with cybernetic looking parts. But first I need to find a place capable of printing such a thing.

Tools used:

It was made using Inkscape. With my favourite font. I didn’t even use elements from somewhere else, this is a 100% made by me thing! … until it gets printed, then it will be a 100% ordered by you thing!

And theeeeen?

Looks like the Spreadshirt cms allows to align the designs as wanted, but the preview image shows the design being printed lower than intended. Oh well.

Next: Fight with wordpress until this automated publishing works.

For fun and profit!
